About Susan
I grew up in the Driftless region of the upper midwest. This landscape has been the lifelong inspiration for my drawing and painting. From insects to clouds, the diversity and beauty of the world has been my primary interest.
My learning has been blessed by the instruction and support of Ken DeWaard, Kathie Wheeler, Rhonda Nass, Kay Brathol-Hostvet, Sara Lubinski, and by the support and kindness of many people, from the gentleman who gave me 25 cents for a little drawing when I was a child, to my always generous and supportive husband, Fritz.
